The Best GPS Reviews – I know too many folks are having difficulty with the software. I exploited a methodology that worked for me on a VISTA 64 machine — may this can work for you.
1. Go to the site and download My tomtom software onto your desktop.
2. Then right click and install as a director. ( don’t worry if it’ll show an error.
3. Then connect the GPS to the PC
4. Go to start and type in device executive. On the ‘Other Device” heading you’ll see TOMTOM.

Right click that click update driver software. When it asks for positioning of drive, just click go surfing to get driver. Your OS will fix the driver. This worked for me. Hopefully this works for you too. GPS is OK. Thought of returning due to software issue, but I suppose That I will keep it now.

GOOD : Fantastic size screen.

Bright and useably-visible even in daylight. Straightforward touchscreen. Huge numbers and signals at bottom of screen, simple to see directions. Nice intuitive show of road, turns, for example. Clear and loud audio directions. Satisfactory alert audio directions ahead of impending turns. Alert about surpassing road limit ( s ).

BAD : Poor battery backup. Simply a few minutes. Barely enough to take it out of the vehicle to the office, and programme 1 or 2 addresses in it, before requiring to be replugged to the automobile.

Hope I Got The Good One!

Wow. It is fantastic to me how these reviews similarly range all the way from great to shitty. This one gets updates and maps with no problem and that one can’t get anything to load. I acquired this as a gift for Xmas for a relative. This is the 3rd Tom-Tom I have bought but the first of this model. I’ve only received favorable reviews from those I bought for during the past.

I’m going to have to do nothing and see what this model gets after Yuletide . When you come across a product with this number of reviews and this wide a selection of content and gloomy, it’s tough to decide. I went with the fantastic price and the proven fact that Tom-Tom has gotten enthusiastic reviews from those I have acquired models for during the past.

I assume you I guess you can spend an additional hundred for a screen that shows up better when full-on daylight hits it, as a reviewer bitched about, but how frequently is that going to occur and for how long? Perhaps you could tape your sun shades on the screen for the one minute you’ll be driving with the bright sun shining in your back window.

If this unit gets my relative from point A to B, I think I got my money’s worth. I just hope my model is the good one that got raves about and not the bad one with all those unpleasant issues.
